The Lyon Airport Tram

The Rhonexpress tram connects passengers from the airport to Lyon Part-Dieu an from Lyon Part-Dieu to Lyon airport. The Rhoneexpress connects passengers to lyon in 30 minutes and trams run from 5.00am in the morning.

Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Rhônexpress station is within easy walking distance from the airport terminals. Tickets can be purchased from the the ticket machines at the station and all machines accept credit cards and some also accept coins.

Lyon Airport Arrivals Guide

With over 7 million passengers passing through Lyon airport arrivals every year, as you can imagine, it does become a little busy at times. However, the staff at the airport manage to keep the process running smoothly and without any real delays.

 

Lyon Airport Arrivals And Procedures

As your flight touches down at Lyon Airport it will taxi to the parking bay to which it has been allocated. Passengers will be required to remain in their seats until the aircraft has come to a complete standstill and the ‘Fasten Seat Belts’ signs have been switched off. When the aircraft is in position in the parking bay, the Ground Staff at the airport will attach either the staircase or airbridge to the aircraft so that passengers can disembark the aircraft safely. Once these are in place you wil bealloed to exit the aircraft and make your way to the airport Terminal.

Remember: Ensure to collect all your belonging from the aircraft before you disembark and check the overhead lockers and the pockets on the back of the seats in front of you.

 

Security And Passport Control At Lyon Airport Arrivals

The main Arrivals Lobby is where all passengers arriving at Lyon Airport will need to pass through and it is the main meeting point at the airport. If you are being collected at the airport by a member of your family or friends, this is where you will probably be greeted by them.
