The Costa Brava stretches from the Spanish town of Blanes to the french borders. Blanes is located to the North East of Barcelona and the distance from Barcelona to Blanes is approximately 45 miles (72 Kilometers).

There are two main International airports that are generally used by tourists visisting the Costa Brava and they are Girona Airport and Barcelona Airport.
What Airport Do You Fly Into For Costa Brava:
Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is known as the gateway to the Costa Brava and has many bus connection to resorts in Costa Brava. Which airport is best for you, simply depends on your requirements and which resort(s) you wish to visit. If you wish to visit the resorts further North in the Costa Brava, then Girona would be your best option. If you wish to visit one of the resorts more South, then Barcelona Airport–El Prat (BCN), is also another option.
Train From Girona To Barcelona Centre:
There is no direct rail link to Girona Airport, which means that if you are wanting to catch the train from Girona to Barcelona, you will need to make your way to the train station in Girona first.
2 Options:
You can either take a taxi from Girona Airport to the train station in Girona or you can catch the local bus.
The local bus departs from the airport to the main bus station in Girona, at regular intervals throughout the day. You can then simply walk across to the train station from the bus station. The train station in Girona, is situated next to the main bus station, which make the transition very easy.
From Girona train station, you can then catch a direct train to either Barcelona Sants station or Barcelona Passeig de Gracia.
