A New Chapter In Air Travel And Lounges

Years ago, airport lounges offered passengers a comfy retreat from the crowds and provided them with snacks and drinks while they await their flights. These lounges were always seen as places for the Elite and many people still think this is the case. However, airport lounges are available to passengers travelling in all classes as well as Business and First class.

As time moves on and technology becomes more advanced, so do the lounges that are located in the airports throughout the world. More and more airlines are now competing with each other providing bigger and better lounges in a bid to keep their most loyal Business and First Class passengers happy in an attempt to stop them flying with other airlines.

Most airport lounges offer their customers great facilities but there are a few lounges around the world that are exceptional. These lounges are among the best in the world and are ones that you most certainly would not mind spending a few hours in and would not even care if your flight was delayed!

In a time when you are advised to turn up at the airport at least two hours before your departure and with the heightened Security restriction introduced, it only means one thing and that is a longer wait at the airport. If you have access to one of the luxury airport lounges, I am sure you will not mind turning up at the airport early, in fact you would probably want too!

In today’s world of air travel where delays are becoming more common and Departure lounges are crowded, it is the best time to take advantage of the many airport lounges around the world. Many people often ask which one are the best airport lounges and how to get lounge access.

Gaining access to airport lounges is actually quite easy and you do not have to be travelling Business or First Class to be eligible for entry. Yes, there are certain lounges that are reserved only for people travelling First class but the majority will allow you entry, regardless of what class you are travelling. However, you will be required to pay an entrance fee for day access if you do not have a ticket or card.

If you are a loyalty card holder with certain airlines, have a credit card that entitles you to entry or have a membership with one of the lounge access cards, then you will normally be able to use the airport lounges.

Airport Lounge Design

Airport lounges really are now being taken to the next level both in design and with the facilities they offer. More and more thought and care is now being taken into the look and feel of the lounges, so much so that many airlines are now hiring top Interior designers to help design the lounges so that they all have a contemporary look and feel to them. The airlines now have to be sure that they understand their passengers needs and ensure that every little detail is taken care of. Ask 100 frequent flyers who all use airport lounges on a regular basis what the ten best airport lounges in the world are and I am sure you would end up with many different combinations. I am sure that the majority would all include the same ones but just in a different order. This is because what is the best in one person’s eyes, is not necessarily the best for another. Airport lounges offer a wide range of facilities and these facilities appeal to people in different ways. If you are travelling on business and require business facilities, then a lounge that offers the latest business facilities and meeting rooms will be much more beneficial than one that offers spa treatments. If you were just travelling on leisure with your family, then you might not be so bothered about business facilities and might be more interested in a lounge that offers a children’s play area, nice food and a games room. Hey, it might be that you are travelling on business and want both, after all, a nice massage and Jacuzzi would be very welcome after a day in front of the computer.
