Bratislava Airport Arrivals Guide:

It is always a good idea to keep up to date with Bratislava airport arrivals. This is especially the case if you are collecting passengers from a flight that is scheduled to land that day. Unfortunately, unexpected delays do occur and flights are delayed. The last thing you want is turn up at the airport early for the flight, if it has been delayed.

Bratislava Airport Arrivals Procedures:

Once your flight has landed at Bratislava airport, it will then taxi to the allocated parking bay. The Ground staff at the airport will then attach the stairs or walkway for passengers to disembark the aircraft. After the stairs are in place, you will be allowed to disembark the aircraft. You can then make your way to the main terminal building. Both the airline and airport Ground staff will be there to guide you across to the airport terminal safely.

Assistance:

If you require assistance with getting from the aircraft to the main terminal building, it is recommended to contact the airline or airport before the date of your travel. This will ensure that there is a member of staff ready waiting at the airport to assist you. They will help you with your onward journey through the airport. Letting them know in advance will also ensure they can facilitate any special request you may have. They can then also have anything at hand you may require for your arrival at the airport.

Passport Control:

Just like any other International airport, you will be required to clear passport control in the Bratislava Airport.  Any documentation that is required for your entry into Bratislava, should be presented at Passport Control. it is helpful to ensure you have all documentation ready once you are in the terminal building. It is advisable to check before you travel to make sure that you have all the correct documents required! Also, ensure that your passport is valid and in date.

Inside Bratislava Airport Arrivals Terminal:

Once you have entered the terminal building and successfully cleared customs and Passport Control, you will need to make your way to the Baggage Reclaim area (unless you are travelling without any hold luggage). This is where you will collect any items of luggage that you checked-in for your flight.

Baggage Reclaim:

At the Baggage Reclaim area, you will need to locate the carousel to which has been allocated for your flight. Once allocated, simply wait at the allocated carousel for your luggage to appear.

  • Each flight is allocated a carousel and above the carousel there are overhead monitors.
  • These monitors display the flight number to which the carousel is processing.

The Ground staff at Bratislava airport generally process the flights quickly. As a result, they manage to get the luggage from the aircraft and onto the carousels in good time. As you can appreciate, sometimes the process is slower, especially when there are several flights arriving at the same time.

Once you have managed to reclaim your luggage successfully, you can then make your way to the main arrivals area through the exit doors.

Obviously, if you are only travelling with hand luggage, you can make your way straight to the exit doors.

Toilets:

There are toilets located in the Baggage Reclaim area, should you need to use them or simply freshen up after your flight.

Main Arrivals Lobby:

In the main arrivals area, you will find the many forms of transport available to passengers. There are signs to help you navigate your way, to the relevant forms of transport. Buses and Taxis are clearly marked on the overhead signs in the main arrivals Lobby. These are to help transfer passengers to and from Bratislava airport to their chosen destination.

Meeting Area:

The Main Arrivals area is where most people meet passengers from incoming flights. If you have already pre-booked your transfer to and from the airport (which is advisable), this is generally the meeting place. This is the meeting place you are most likely to have been given by your transfer provider. If you have booked a package holiday, your representative will probably be waiting for you in this area. It is always advisable to confirm that this is the meeting place, before you arrive at the airport.
