Bratislava Airport Arrivals Guide

It is always a good idea to keep up to date with Bratislava airport arrivals, especially if you are collecting passengers from a flight that is scheduled to land that day. Unfortunately, delays to occur and the last thing you want to do is turn up at the airport much too early for the flight if it has been delayed. The widget below at the bottom of this page will allow you to keep informed with any change in flight arrivals at the airport.

Bratislava Airport Arrivals Procedures

Once your flight has landed at Bratislava airport, it will then taxi to the parking bay that it has been allocated. The Ground staff at the airport will then attach the stairs or walkway for passengers to disembark the aircraft. After the stairs are in place, you will be allowed to disembark the aircraft and make your way to the main terminal building. Both the airline and airport Ground staff will be there to guide you across to the airport terminal safely. If you require assistance with getting from the aircraft to the main terminal building, it is recommended to contact the airline or airport before the date of your travel. This will ensure that there is a member of staff ready waiting at the airport to assist you with your onward journey and also ensure they can facilitate any special request you may have or require for your arrival at the airport.

Just like any other International airport, you will be required to clear passport control in the Bratislava airport arrivals terminal. Any documentation that is required for your entry into Bratislava, should be presented at Passport Control once you are in the terminal building. It is advisable to check before you travel to make sure that you have all the correct documents required and that your passport is valid and in date.

Inside Bratislava Airport Arrivals Terminal

Bratislava Airport ArrivalsOnce you have entered the terminal building and successfully cleared customs and Passport Control, you will need to make your way to the Baggage Reclaim area (unless you are travelling without any hold luggage). This is where you will collect any items of luggage that you checked-in for your flight.

At the Baggage Reclaim area, you will need to locate the carousel to which has been allocated for your flight and then wait for your luggage to appear. Each flight is allocated a carousel and above the carousel there are overhead monitors. These monitors display the flight number to which the carousel is processing. The Ground staff at Bratislava airport generally process the flights quickly and manage to get the luggage from the aircraft and onto the carousels quickly. As you can appreciate, sometimes the process can be a little slower when there are several flights arriving at the same time.

There are toilets located in the Baggage Reclaim should you need to use them or simply freshen up after  your flight.

Once you have managed to reclaim your luggage successfully, you can then make your way to the main arrivals area through the exit doors.

Obviously, if you are only travelling with hand luggage, you can make your way straight to the exit doors.

In the main arrivals area, you will find the many forms of transport that is available to passengers to help transfer to and from Beauvais airport to their chosen destination.

The Main Arrivals area is where most people meet passengers from incoming flights. If you have already pre-booked your transfer to and from the airport (which is advisable), this is generally the meeting place that you are most likely to have been given by your transfer provider. If you have booked a package holiday that has airport transfer included, your representative will probably be waiting for you in this area. It is always advisable to confirm that this is the meeting place before you arrive at the airport.

In the arrivals area, you will also find many car hire companies and coach operators that provide services to the many destination close to Bratislava airport.

Car hire is relatively cheap from Bratislava and is a viable option of transfer, if there are several passengers traveling in your party. If you have pre-booked your car hire in advance, you will need to contact the appropriate car hire company desk to which you booked your car hire through. Don’t forget to take your driving licence, credit card and booking reference or voucher with you to the airport as you will need them to complete your booking.

Outside the main arrivals area, is where the many local buses, taxis and coaches depart from. If you are wanting to use one of these services, you can pre-book your tickets in advance or simply turn up on the day and purchase your tickets from the airport. However, if you have not pre-booked your place and the coaches are full, you will have to wait for the next available service. This is why as I said earlier, it is always worth pre-booking in advance.

If you arrive at the airport without having pre-booked any transfers and just wish to use the public transport but are not sure which option is best for you. Simply ask a member of staff at one of the Information desks inside the airport and they will gladly assist you with your enquiry and provide you with all the relevant information you need for your onward journey.
